Merry Christmas everyone. The holidays are a special time of the year and they hold so many different meanings for all of us, but the one common thing we all share is the love for our families and friends….a time to get together and celebrate. Another year has come and gone so very fast and what an amazing year it has been with so much to be thankful for. My children, who keep me running around like crazy, smiling, laughing, saying “you have one more warning…” and most importantly, wanting to be a better person with each passing day. My family that supports me and loves me on my good, bad and crazy days. My friends that still ask me to get together even though this last year I have not been the best at making time to get together due to crazy schedules, but I promise to do much better because I really do need all of you. My clients…without all of you, my job as a photographer would not be possible. Honestly, I adore my clients SO much that I really consider all to be friends :) THANK YOU to each and every one!!

Today has been so much fun. I am a bit sleep deprived, full of great food, and finding myself hearing “you’ll shoot your eye out…you’ll shoot your eye out..” in my head as we have all watched “A Christmas Story” about 8 times, but so happy to spend the day with my family.

I am looking forward to 2010, my mind is buzzing with ideas for Lisa Carpenter Photography. I am looking forward to meeting many new clients and seeing familiar faces as well. All the best to you and yours.

Blog Maintenance

10-29-2009

You may notice a few things not working correctly on the blog at the moment such as the tabs located at the top of the page.  Bear with me as my designer works to resolve the issues.  I hope to have all resolved here shortly.

Thank you!

Lisa

It is always fun to get back the ‘Get To Know You Questionnaire’ from my clients after they have had time to each fill it out. So much thought goes into their answers and it is a wonderful way for me to get to know them before we head out for the engagement session. The Cradle of Forestry was the location of choice for Tim & Ashley, and the two hour drive was so well worth it. We were a bit worried about the weather, but still continued our drive. Actually I think we ended up driving more than two hours, but the views made it go by so fast. We made our way around the main park area and kept our ears and eyes open for the rattler that was brought to our attention a few times by passerby’s. The sun was starting to fall and Ashley mentioned that she really wanted to make it to the waterfall. So we packed up fast and headed that way, making it in time and using some creative lighting.
Being that we started the drive at 2:00 and it was now nearing 7:00, the dinner bells were going off for everyone. The day ended perfectly with a good dinner and great conversation. Here are a few from the session and the slideshow is below.

Thank you Tim & Ashley for a super fun time!

Americana Manhasset

04-20-2009

I have LONG been a fan of the catalog for Americana Manhasset! Their wardrobe choices and photography are awesome. I have several older catalogs or ‘look books’ that I keep for reference, much like I keep my Vanity Fair and a select few of Vogue magazines. I just received an email this morning from Americana Manhasset that has the new Spring 2009 video…WOW! If you love fashion, art, photography and old desert towns, you will love this video. So who is up for a road trip to the desert for a fashion session??? Just wanted to share. Now, back to work and getting caught up of posting sessions ;)

Here is another one of theirs I love

Thanks for stopping by,
~lisa
