It is hard to believe that school is out for the summer…well, unless you are on a year-round program:)  I wanted to share one of my great finds of the year since I am on my green kick.  About a month and a half into the school year I was in search of a good lunch box.  I know, don’t laugh, it shouldn’t be a BIG thing to be on a search for a good lunchbox right?  Well, in my search I found something wonderful and I plan to share it with my kids school next year to see if they can spread the word.  I choose to pack my kids lunch because I want to have a little more control on what they are consuming.  There is a company called Laptop Lunches and their website is www.laptoplunches.com and lo and behold, they are a company that strives to be earth friendly.  Not only do these super cool lunch boxes help you create fun and healthy lunches, but they help save on waste!  It states that "on average a school-age child using disposable lunches generates 67 pounds of waste per school year"…that is alot when you consider how many kids there are!!!!!  The great thing is that the kids love these fun lunch boxes, they take care of them and other kids seem to ask about them.  Sign up for their newsletter and they will send you creative lunch ideas:)  YIPPEEE.

Well…off to pack our own lunch to go on a Memorial Day picnic;)

until next time….

Here we are entering into summer already!  It is hard to believe that another school year has passed.  After much thought, I have decided to offer "Take and Go" sessions for a limited time during the months of June, July and August.  The idea of these sessions is simplicity.  There will be a set fee which will include:  A full session for individuals or families, an online slideshow gallery to view and share for 14 days, a proof book with at least 20 images and a cd of your images which will be professionally edited and ready to print at your leisure!

This will be a perfect fit for those of you requesting summer sessions back in South Carolina…and THANK YOU for asking me to do them:)  The images on the disc will allow you to have the images printed when you want, will allow you to use them for christmas cards, scrapbooks and photo albums, give them as a gift to family, make screensavers or e-cards!  The possibilities are endless and a ton of fun!!!!

There will be two levels of sessions:  The first one will include the session, online slideshow gallery, printed proofs (4×5 or 4×6),  and a cd of your professionally edited images.  Basically…a Take and Go session.

The second will have all of what is included in the first level, but will also have two of my most requested items…one 10×20 storyboard and a gorgeous leather keepsake album with 20 5×7 professionally printed images.

The first level will be the Simplicity Session priced at $600 for up to 4 people.  There will be a $20 charge for each additional person after that.

The second level will be Simple Elegance session priced at $1000 for up to 4 people and $20 for each additional person.

What could be more exciting than something fun, stress-free and simple!!!  Our busy lives crave that:)  Remember, these sessions will be limited and I am expecting them to be popular.  These ‘Take and Go’ sessions will still have the same creativity and quality of my full-priced sessions…just in a more simple package.

Thank you~

Finally…I have finished the portrait collections and the wall display collections.  I will post   examples of the wall displays in a few days.  These are super great because it allows you to visualize how your prints will look hanging on a wall in a grouping.  Even I have a difficult time ’seeing’ how to place my prints on the walls in my home.  Well, guess no more and even get really creative!!!  I am very excited about these :)

The other reason that I am excited is that I switched out my traditional lightbulbs for the new energy saving bulbs…well, at least one room so far!  And to my surprise, they are really a nice soft light.  I was afraid that they would be very bright and overwhelming.  SO..I will be changing the rest of the bulbs after my next trip to Target!!  Just one small way to make a difference.
