I could have stayed at this location all day long! The day was perfect because it wasn’t too crazy hot and it was a little overcast which gave wonderful lighting. I wanted to share a handful of my favorites.

For any loyal fan of the Chicago Cubs, you will appreciate this post. Will it finally be time for a win? Gosh, let’s hope so! I may not have time to catch all games, but I do have the Cubs application on my Blackberry to keep up and see the latest scores and news.

“Chicago Cubs fans are the greatest fans in baseball. They’ve got to be.” ~ Herman Franks (1978)

Let’s root, root, root for the Cubbies…if they don’t win it’s a shame!

This video is a hoot and I just wanted to share :)

or even this one.

There is even a website dedicated to the history of the ‘curse’. Just One Bad Century.com

Ok, back to work!!!!
Have a wonderful day.

  • Great video! What’s fun about the Cubs is that even though they haven’t won in a 100yrs their fans have remained loyal; even on a bad day during a bad season Wrigley sells out! There’s no such thing as a fair-weather Cub fan! Go Cubbies…

Fun With My Boys!

07-23-2008

The other day I mentioned to the boys that we should put our bikes on the rack and head out to Falls Park for a bit. The response was “nah, we don’t really want to”. So, I decided to put the bikes on the rack and say “come on, let’s go”. I was so glad I did because we had a blast!! After we parked at the Greenville Zoo, we got on our bikes and headed to Falls Park. The boys played on the rocks and in the water until we decided to head up to Spill The Beans for ice cream on Main St. We sat outside, ate ice cream, took goofy pictures and acted silly. What an amazing way to spend the day! Here are a few from the day.

The boys being Superman and ‘holding’ up big boulders!

Can you tell he forgot to remove the cap??

My boys are taking these pictures!!!!

Now for The Sprinkler, The Lawnmower and more!!! I was busting out laughing:)

I can’t wait to do this again!!!

Lindsay + Adam

07-20-2008

There were so many amazing things about shooting on the day of Lindsay + Adam’s wedding. I was able to experience the Gordon Lee Mansion in Chickamauga, Georgia and see all the history this area has to offer, meet more great people and see the fabulous Melody Hood of Innamorata Photography again. I first met Melody at WPPI in Vegas this year and was thrilled when I was able to shoot along with her on this beautiful wedding. Melody does amazing work and if you get a chance, stop by and see her website. The Gordon Lee Mansion was built in 1847 and the grounds are spectacular with so many opportunities for great shooting.
The day was SO hot and humid that everyone was fanning themselves and stepping into the small air conditioned rooms when time allowed. The air was thick and it looked like rain would start at any minute…and it did. You will see Lindsay walking into the back side of the mansion looking up at the sky wondering if her outdoor wedding would be rained out. I LOVE that shot! The rain came down at times, but not too heavy and when it cleared the sky was amazing. I am sharing a huge handful of images from this fun wedding so bear with me. THANK YOU Melody! I truly enjoyed working with you!

Thank you for stopping by!!

I was sitting in Barnes & Noble drinking a latte and trying to satisfy my ‘glossy fix’…in other words, my magazine addiction. I am now trying to enjoy them in the store and not buy so many because it does add up when you buy them here and there. Ever since I can remember, maybe the 4th grade, I have LOVED magazines. I have so much fun looking at the photography and the styles and even reading a fun article. I picked up the newest issue of Vogue and I read through it for over an hour and still wanted to buy it. So much for my latest idea right? What I loved about it was that it celebrated women of all ages, which they do every year, but this time it was so well done. Maybe I am just still on a high from the Olympic Trials where Dara Torres, age 41, just rocketed her way through the water! I was jumping up and down when she broke her own 50 meter freestyle record. Plus she just looks amazing and is wearing her age very well.

So back to Vogue, there were photographs of women all ages, yet all of them were beautiful in their own way. Check out this video.

I wish I could photograph every woman and capture what is unique and beautiful to her and start my own magazine, that would be SO COOL!!! What is even more cool is that women would realize that confidence is the greatest accessory!!

Have an awesome day.

When I first saw my client’s son I thought “WOW, what beautiful red hair, bright blue eyes and perfect skin!”. Then I took him on a little fun walk to get to know him and play while we took pictures and then I thought “What an amazing little boy with a big and fun personality!”. We walked for a good bit and then stumbled across some rustic scenery that was fitting for a pair of overalls. I wanted to share a handful of them.

Thanks for stopping by!

Viva la Vintage!

07-10-2008

This website is like unwrapping a bar of dark chocolate! Well, if you love dark chocolate that is :) Vintage gowns galore of all styles. TheFROCK.com is something you may have heard of or seen before, but this one is new to me and I am so glad I found it. If you love vintage and it is in your budget, then you must check out this site! Here are a few I simply adore. This first one is amazing – so Sarah Jessica Parker!

Even if vintage is not your thing, it still is fun to browse the collection and read the stories behind the dresses. I just cannot get enough of this site.

I am a sucker for really fun and useful favors. These notecards can be personalized with your name and wedding date and they are very eco-friendly! The paper pot can actually be planted and flowers grow right out of the paper! Find them HERE.
They are from IdealFavors.com and I am sure you can find many other great items as well. Here is what the plantable notecards look like.

Have a great day!
