Greg & Leigh

La Bastide is an amazing venue located at the Cliffs right here in the Carolinas!  The vineyard is surrounded by the mountains which makes for an amazing backdrop.  Greg & Leigh were such a fun couple to work with and there was one thing that was very important to them..to get pictures outside.  After the ceremony it got quite chilly and the sun was dropping fast but everyone was great and it turned out that we had dramatic lighting and skies which made for amazing images.  Thank you Jarrad Lister for your help and great work! Here is a small handful of photos I would like to share.

    You are amazingly talented, I love what you did with Leigh & Greg’s wedding. I would love to see a picture of the cake, as I didn’t get the best shots. I will add you to my list of vendors the next time I update my website!

Wow, I had no idea that I had neglected my blog here recently.  I was so wrapped up in sessions, Rock The Shirt! and getting holiday cards designed for clients that I failed to keep up with posting.

Jennifer & David : Engagement

I met Jennifer early in the summer to book her wedding in April 2009. Since David is not local to the area, I was not able to meet him until the engagement session. It was an overcast day with clouds that made us wonder if it would start to rain. We met at the Starbucks downtown and headed out for some fun. Here are just a few from the session.







I am looking forward to Jennifer & David’s wedding day and will be back to share those photos as well :)

It’s Live!

The new and improved website for Lisa Carpenter Photography is finally up and running. This branding change has been a long process with a lot of work, emotion and fun. While the new site is ready to view, there are portfolios that are still being completed. The new web address is www.lisacarpenterphoto.com, however you may still use the old one as it will forward to the current address. **Please note, info@lisacarpenterphotography.com is no longer in use.** The new email is on the contact form on the website which is lisacarpenter@me.com. I love how it is so much shorter! Should anyone ever have problems reaching me through this email, which I am not expecting, there is a second email which is lisacarpenterphoto@gmail.com.

There are a few features worth mentioning. When viewing a portfolio, you may choose to view the photos one by one or play a slideshow. Thumbnails appear when the cursor is placed over the right side of the main photo and the slideshow stops and starts by clicking play at the bottom right. One great feature about using the slideshow option is that you can choose to make the images show faster or slower. The pie icon that shows that the slideshow is running has a slide control just above it and you simply move the bar up or down. The music may be turned on an off by clicking the sound icon on the bottom left.

Design Aglow – Issue no. 6

Design Aglow is the premiere web magazine for professional image makers and I always look forward to the next issue. This web magazine is a feast for the eyes and is chock full of creative information. Ellen Petty of Identity Kitchen is the creator of my latest logo and branding design. As I mentioned before, I LOVE her work and the new look she created for Lisa Carpenter Photography. Ellen is featured in the latest issue of Design Aglow and I was thrilled to see photos of my new branding materials including my blog!

Your brand is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be, and Ellen is the perfect person to bring all of that to life. Congrats Ellen!
