Parker & Kelly’s original date for the engagement session was rescheduled due to weather that was not cooperating. Well, I must say that we were all happy with the weather the day of the session as it was not too hot and just the right amount of clouds. Parker & Kelly met in high school but did not start dating until college while working at the YMCA. One of their favorite things to do together is to go to TCBY on Thursday nights, so at the end of the session we all headed over to get ice cream! Engagement sessions are so much fun because I get to capture the love and energy between a newly engaged couple and it is a great way for me to get to know my bride & groom. I would like to share a handful of images from the session and the slideshow is at the end.

It is always fun to get back the ‘Get To Know You Questionnaire’ from my clients after they have had time to each fill it out. So much thought goes into their answers and it is a wonderful way for me to get to know them before we head out for the engagement session. The Cradle of Forestry was the location of choice for Tim & Ashley, and the two hour drive was so well worth it. We were a bit worried about the weather, but still continued our drive. Actually I think we ended up driving more than two hours, but the views made it go by so fast. We made our way around the main park area and kept our ears and eyes open for the rattler that was brought to our attention a few times by passerby’s. The sun was starting to fall and Ashley mentioned that she really wanted to make it to the waterfall. So we packed up fast and headed that way, making it in time and using some creative lighting.
Being that we started the drive at 2:00 and it was now nearing 7:00, the dinner bells were going off for everyone. The day ended perfectly with a good dinner and great conversation. Here are a few from the session and the slideshow is below.

Thank you Tim & Ashley for a super fun time!

Album DS

07-18-2009

Album DS notified me on Friday that I was chosen to be their Photographer of the Month! What an amazing feeling and honor it is to be a part of their recent newsletter. Album DS Design Software is what I use to create albums, collages, storyboards, cards and more for my clients. The ease and versatility of this software is superb. I have tried so many over the years and was happy when I found ADS because I just found myself frustrated with previous design software. Check out their new website here. If you ever have any questions, their support team is very helpful.

To view the newsletter and some album samples please look here.

Thank you Album DS for a really great product!! Photographers, check them out and give the free trial a go.

Guest Books

07-16-2009

Curious about what to do with your engagement photos? Guest sign-in books! Not only are they amazing and fun keepsakes, but it is great to go back and read what your friends and family wrote. Here is an example with the first photo being the cover. You are viewing them as if the book were laid out flat. This particular book is a 10×10 hard cover with hinged pages.

More styles to come.

Thank you for stopping by.
