When Breun called me to let me know of her engagement and that she wanted me to be her photographer, I was thrilled! Then I heard her mention the date and I was bummed…I had to tell her that I was booked for her wedding day. But then I was thrilled again when we decided I would still do her engagement and bridal sessions. Last week I drove to the Latta Plantation in North Carolina which was our first meeting point for the shoot. The plantation was beautiful and while we had to work around a group of kids on a field trip, we had the grounds to ourselves. Then we drove to Denver, NC where Jeremy lives to do more pictures at the lake and with his beautifully restored bright red Ford pickup. The dark clouds worried us a little, but they worked with us and in fact made for some beautiful backdrops! Since Jeremy proposed next to a fire pit, we HAD to take some pictures next to theirs 🙂 These two have such fun together and the laughs are abundant.

Dale & Lauren’s engagement shoot was one that was scheduled and rescheduled multiple times either due to weather or some of Dale’s traveling for work. The day finally came and what a gorgeous day in Atlanta it was!! The flowers were blooming, the sun was out and it wasn’t too hot. Time to pick out a few outfits and go have some fun. The great thing is that Dale & Lauren were up for anything. By the time we finished, we had such an amazing mix of photos ranging from natural settings with grass, trees and flowers all the way to tall buildings with reflective glass. I must add that this couple has the most amazing smiles together 🙂
