As I made my way into Clemson after taking the exit off I-85, I saw an incoming text from Madeline. When I got to the first stop light I checked it to see “I sure hope the rain holds off”. I replied “Me too!!”. It wasn’t 30 seconds later and the drops started coming down heavier and heavier. I called Madeline to say that I would drive to our meeting point and we will see how it looks. To be honest…I was worried because I didn’t see a break in the dark heavy clouds. After arriving to where we would meet, I walked around looking and talking (yes..talking) to the sky. I was like “come on…work with me!”. I called Madeline back again to say that it was still raining and she said they would be there in just a few minutes. I knew that Madeline really wanted that late afternoon glow that she has seen in my photos and being that this was something important to her, I truly thought it would be best to reschedule. Well Madeline asked if I would be willing to sit it out for awhile….which I happily did. PLUS this was a good time for us to just chat for awhile. Well….Madeline was not only right in waiting it out, but some of THE most beautiful light happened that evening!! Truly. So, high five on that call Madeline!

Just before Madeline & Cody changed into their second outfit, I pulled the camera away from my face and said “Cody, has anyone ever told you that you resemble Dave Grohl?”. He said “Nope, not really.” About 5 minutes later he said “Dave from Nirvana or Dave from Foo?”. I instantly replied “Oh Foo of course.” He then said “Cool!”. I agreed. It made for some good laughs. While they were changing into outfit two, I was thumbing through the photos and thought…well Madeline is really pretty and she has some features similar to Megan Fox. So when they got back, I was like “Ok…you are going to think I am being weird, but you look like Megan Fox in some of these photos”. She then said “wow…thanks!”. So as we are taking photos and I am directing, I actually called her Megan at one point. LOL!!!

I had THE best time with you Madeline & Cody! I am thrilled to be your photographer and cannot wait for your big day 😀

Everything about Ashley & Jason’s session screams bright bold colors, beautiful smiles (and handsome 🙂 ) and loads of fun! Engagement sessions in downtown Greenville are not only fun but so full of adventure. There are always new and beautiful ways to take pictures in and around the area.
