I have shared my most loved products, foods, beauty experiments, hair wow’s and woah’s, quotes and fashion finds on my Facebook page for a long time and many of you have chimed in on your own experiences or finds, so I have decided to rename the ‘coffee talk’ category to ‘The Garanimal Girl’. This way it will be much easier to find than trying to thumb through all the Facebook posts. This is just a fun category to go along with my regular posts of weddings, engagement & bridal sessions as well as families. I hope you will read along as well as share your thoughts & experiments for others to read.

Let’s face it…most of us want to feel beautiful when we happen to pass by a mirror. Should that mirror not play so nice, head straight for the tea drawer. Well, even if you don’t have a tea drawer or even a single tea bag in your home, get in the car and head straight to the store!

Pay NO attention to the toes at the bottom of the pic 🙂 Anyway, there are many teas that can make your skin happy and happy skin is pretty skin. Here are some yummy teas to consider:

Green Tea – it contains potent antioxidants which offer your skin protection from free radicals and skin damage for younger, smoother skin!
Peppermint – I could LIVE in a peppermint house because that is how much I love the stuff. Drinking peppermint tea can can help you get rid of dull skin and get glowing. It encourages those healthy skin cells to grow and kicks the bad ones out! It also helps to control oily skin.
Ginger – I’ll be honest..I used to not like ginger at all. Now I love it! Plus it makes for a happy belly by improving digestion. If the intestines are healthy, your skin will be too. Ginger is also a natural anti-inflammatory.
Burdock Root – It contains anti-fungal and antibiotic qualities that aid in the fight against the bacteria that causes acne and helps detoxify skin tissues. If you have acne, especially inflamed pimples, consider adding burdock root tea to your daily regimen!
Rose Hips – Rose hips have a high vitamin A content. Vitamin A is commonly referred to as the “skin vitamin”. It helps to regenerate skin cells, healing wounds and scars. It also helps to keep the skin elastic and nourished. This will not only prevent wrinkles, but can actually help to minimize any that have already appeared.
Drinking herbal tea gives you at least one thing that is very crucial to healthy skin: water. Hydration moisturizes your skin from the inside out, renewing skin cells, flushing away toxins, and filling out skin cells to make fine lines less visible. Who knew your daily tea tradition could be a simple—and delicious—way to promote healthy skin each day!
