After working with Ivey & Kevin on their engagement session…I knew their big day would be awesome! They did something unique and fun for their engagement session. While racing is not something new to the two of them, it was a new thing for me to be on a dragstrip and it was pretty cool! Racing is a passion they share together and so it was something they wanted to incorporate into their photos. On their wedding day, Ivey had a few little touches of racing added in…a checkerboard garter and a tire for the grooms cake. It was just enough and really quite perfect.

There was a strong possibility of sleet on their wedding day and somehow we managed to escape the sleet and dodged the rain that fell here and there…it was almost as if the clouds knew to hold on while we were out taking photos. Everything about their day turned out beautiful and it was an honor to be there to document the moments and witness the beginning of their new life together as husband and wife.

Congratulations you two!! I am so very happy for you. A big thank you to Katie for all your hard work and creativity.

When Kendra called me to talk about wedding photography I practically danced around in the car! I was traveling back in town and didn’t have great reception so we had to cut the call short, but I was THRILLED to say the least that I would be Kendra & Tom’s wedding photographer. I have known Kendra for years and was so very happy that she had found the love of her life. You just have to be around these two for a short time to really see that they have such a solid love for each other and are ready to start their journey in life together.

We discussed the First Look being that the sun would be setting early and their ceremony wasn’t until 6:00. But after they both really talked it over, they decided that they wanted to wait and chose to hold hands around a corner instead. Well…it was so beautiful that I found my own eyes a little misty. Moments like these are so great to share after the wedding day because they couldn’t see what I could since they were hidden from each other. So special!

Congratulations again Kendra & Tom! I wish you a lifetime of happiness!! Thank you to Katie for all your amazing work and dedication to capturing these special moments along with me.
