I get a call from my little brother today and after we chat for a few minutes he asks “Hey, did you hear THE NEWS?”. Initially I wondered, who is getting married or who is now expecting a baby. But he quickly said “Carlos Zambrano had his first no-hitter last night which was the first in 36 years for the Cubs!!!” Being that my whole family is made up of die-hard Cubs fans, I naturally said “AWESOME!!!”. I wasn’t able to watch the game, so I hadn’t heard the news. Then I was a bit silent and said quietly….”uhm, what’s a no-hitter?”. Here I thought I knew a good bit about baseball right? His response was “Awe Lis’, are you serious?”. I chuckled, a bit embarrassed, and said “Yes, I am serious”. So, my brother explained and once again I said “AWESOME!!!”. Had to be there, but I must say it was funny 🙂 WAY TO GO CARLOS!!!!

This video pretty much sums up the emotion of an incredible night even though it makes you dizzy watching it.

WOW! That is the word that comes to mind when I think about this amazing wedding. I was counting my gear over and over making sure that I had everything packed before I got on the plane and still even then double-checked my bags. What a privilege to be a part of this exciting day for Chris and Peggy. The Palmer House and Holy Family are part of Chicago’s rich history. Holy Family is the second oldest cathedral in Chicago and went through renovations not too long ago. The reception was at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier and that is just eye candy all around! I begged the skies to give me puffy and dramatic clouds and much to my amazement, there they were. The day was incredible and I want to say thank you Chris and Peggy for allowing me to be a part of it.

Congratulations to you both and enjoy your honeymoon!

Now, this one was just TOO funny to not post. This girl asked to have her photo taken in front of the trolley and it just was worth of sharing 🙂

Thank you for stopping by.
