Every morning I sit down at my computer with a cup of coffee and check email and of course…Facebook 🙂  I saw that there were a few messages in my Facebook inbox so I clicked to read them.  One of them was from my niece Heather…she got engaged and I get to be her photographer!  Super big smile!  I have heard so many great things about Dylan but we never met until the engagement session.  So not only was I in the midst of having a lot of fun on Heather & Dylan’s engagement session, but I was asking him questions here and there and observing how he was with Heather.  I must say that I am thrilled!!  Dylan is so wonderful and I can see that he loves Heather immensely.  They are a great match.

I LOVE what they chose to wear!  It was perfect for the downtown setting.  I definitely have some of my favorite and most requested shots from downtown, but it is always fun to mix things up try out a few new locations.  So we walked around a good bit and tried to stay as cool as possible in the crazy heat.  When I have a good bit of time one-on-one with a couple like I do on engagement sessions, I like to capture a wide variety of moments.  The posed/more directed poses are a must for sure, but it is also a must to capture those moments of laughing, hugging, looking at each other and of course a few kisses.   The reason that I consider these a must too is because I want them to look back 10…20 years from now and remember how they felt and not just what they looked like.

Thank you Heather & Dylan for a super awesome afternoon!

Doing part of Tiffany & Jake’s engagement session in Clemson and the rest downtown Greenville made for a really awesome collection of photos. We started at Clemson and got right into the fun of the afternoon! As many times as I have taken photos in and around the stadium and campus, it always seems new and unique to each couple. Just before we left the stadium I asked Tiffany & Jake if they wanted to do some fun photos running down the hill. They were totally up for it and looking at those photos makes me smile really big! So much energy and fun in those shots.

After Clemson, we met downtown for part 2. We quickly found out that it was much windier in the city than it was in Clemson. It was really quite the challenge to work with Tiffany’s dress as it kept blowing like crazy. It made for many laughs!! Even though downtown was packed for a few events, it was not a distraction at all. In fact, it made for a really fun afternoon…the buzz of the city went right along with the energy between my awesome couple!! I cannot wait for their big day. Thank you Tiffany & Jake for a really fun day.
