Capturing families in real moments & relaxed settings is something I truly enjoy! Finding areas with beautiful light is first on the list and then the fun begins. I drove to meet with the Bagwell family at Lake Wylie in North Carolina. It was a summer reunion and they wanted to capture their family in a variety of photos. As you can see there were lots of smiles, hugs, smooches, laughs, silly moments, quiet moments…oh and of course…a water gun! I love how everyone played along and allowed me to snap away. I left the lake thinking that I MUST schedule my own session as soon as I can because kids grow up fast and having moments to look back on is priceless. Thank you so much to all of you. I had a blast!
Back in February of this year, Kelley & Ben entered a contest I was having for an engagement session giveaway and there would be one lucky winner. Each couple would need to submit their story and photos and I would select three finalists. From there, the winner would be determined by the most votes via a comment on the blog. Kelley & Ben were neck and neck with one other couple with the other one only inching ahead by a few votes. There were over 500 which was awesome!! SO I just had to do something special for them because I truly was in love with their love story. Well…here we are several months later and in that time frame we have had their engagement session, the bridal session and now the wedding. I am beyond thrilled that they decided to have me as their wedding photographer. It has been such a fun journey with them both.
Kelley & Ben’s wedding was at Chattooga Belle Farm which was THE perfect fit for them. There were so many wonderful details as part of the decor that it was like finding candy for me. Eye candy that is!! From the restored Coke bin, to the hand painted biscuit bar sign, the glass bottles for guests to write notes for various anniversaries and then of course there was Bentley the bulldog. NOW…I certainly cannot say that Bentley was part of the decor, but he was a fun addition to the wedding day. After all, he is family. He even managed to get a wee bit choked up as he walked down the aisle which made for a few giggles. The scenery at the farm was truly breathtaking…quite magical actually. The entire day was amazing and I am so happy for them both. Thank you Kelley & Ben for having me as a part of your wedding. It was an honor! I wish you both the very best. Thank you to Angel for all your help and hard work – it means so much.
