A Fashion Shoot with Cornelia & Melanie | Portraits

I have had the pleasure of working with Melanie on a few occasions. For those of you that have followed my blog, you would have seen her on the cover of my Women & Bikes calendar to raise money for The Challenge to Conquer Cancer. I absolutely adore her and it’s always fun to get her in front of the camera. Melanie’s niece, Cornelia, was staying with Melanie and her family for a bit this summer. Cornelia is from France and is working really hard to learn English. So when Melanie talked about doing a session for Cornelia, I was beyond thrilled!! Now…I only wish that my 4 years of French in high school had stuck with me more so that I could talk and understand a bit better. 🙂

On the day of the shoot, I told Melanie to explain to Cornelia that I would have her mirror me when she was not able to understand what I was saying. It worked perfectly and she was a natural just like her aunt! The day could not have been more fun!!! Cornelia is a beautiful young lady and it was a pleasure to have the chance to work with her. I LOVE how the photos turned out and am excited to finally be able to share them.

The Shafer Family | Portraits

I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Shafer family on their recent session and I am thrilled I got to spend the morning with them. When Jessica called and said that there would be 6 adults and 4 kids, I said “awesome!”. She then said “All 4 are under the age of 4.” I thought…well alright, we have a lot of arms to hold them with and it shall be entertaining for sure! Well, entertaining it was! We managed to have a very action-packed hour of laughs, smiles and funny moments. The kids were a lot of fun and so adorable.

Thank you Jeff, Anne, Elizabeth, Andrew & Jessica for having me capture your family memories. I truly enjoyed it.
