Heather {Bridal Session} | Weddings

When Heather and I met during her consultation, she mentioned that she was contemplating wearing a black wedding dress that she saw and couldn’t get off her mind. She went back and forth between a more traditional white dress and the eye-catching black one. We talked about her bridal session and at that time, she was still on the fence about what to do. She decided to go with the white dress and so we began to plan out when and where her session would be. Then one day I received a call…she couldn’t contain her excitement (which was really cute) and told me that she changed her mind and bought the black dress. Since she was going for a whimsical theme on the day of her wedding, she wanted to have her bridal session to be different. We talked it over and opted to go for more of the high fashion look.

I am pretty certain that my jaw dropped when Heather put on her dress!! It was gorgeous! And then she brought out the fabulous shoes. The temperatures that day hovered around 100 degrees and I knew it was going to be tough for her, but she did a great job and looked beautiful. She even had a few people stop and say “WOW! Your dress is gorgeous!”.

The Mueller Family {Summer Vacation} | Portraits

The Reserve at Lake Keowee is probably one of the most beautiful areas in South Carolina. The lake, the views and hills are all spectacular. I can definitely see why this fun family from Florida came all this way to enjoy a week’s vacation. When I arrived to the house and knocked on the door I could hear “She’s here!”. Within a few minutes of saying my hello’s, I had all their names down. Well….sort of. I got Al, Ashton & Alyvia down pat. But when it came to the twins, I had to be corrected MANY times. Thank you Camden & Cayden for being super patient with me. It actually got to a point where they could figure out that I was thinking “Is it Camden or Cayden” and they would just chime in. Cracked me up!

The house was a photographer’s dream because there were endless places both inside and out to take photos. Heck, even the garage doors made an incredible backdrop. It’s a good thing that the inside was so amazing because we had a good rain shortly after I started. But when the rain clouds moved away, the lighting outside was super pretty so I told everyone that we were heading out for more fun. Speaking of fun…at the end of the session everyone decided to a fun photo where everyone did the Nestea plunge. It was awesome!! Then the flips began and I mentioned to Al that the kids probably would have had me take flip photos until the sun set 🙂

Thank you ALL so much for having me capture your summer vacation memories. You definitely warmed my heart and made the day incredibly fun!!
