Sandy & Richard had their wedding day in April of this year, but realized that they wanted to have a session just for the two of them and so I was thrilled when I got the call to set this up! Sandy’s dress is so beautiful that if it were me, I would want to put it on again too. Maybe even more than twice 🙂 We talked a little about what she wanted and the overall look she was after and decided that Furman campus would be the perfect backdrop. I love the angles of the sun this time of year and knew we would get some amazing images. It was a little chilly and breezy, but the day was beautiful. The awesome thing is that the light was changing a good bit as our shoot went on and so we managed to get soft sun flare images, perfect lighting in the open shade and that golden glow that happens later in the afternoon. I had such a great time walking around while laughing and shooting and getting to know Sandy & Richard a bit. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture these photos for you two! I wish you both so much happiness now and in the future. Please enjoy a handful of images and the slideshow posted just below.

The Biltmore Estate is truly a feast for the eyes with it’s gorgeous mansion and acres of impeccable grounds. Then add the beauty of fall colors and the magic of a wedding and it is much more than a feast for the eyes, it is for the soul as well. Kira & Shane had their ceremony at The Conservatory on the Biltmore grounds and the reception at The Grand Bohemian which is directly across from The Biltmore entrance. The Grand Bohemian is quite the beauty as well. It is a Tudor inspired boutique hotel that is filled with incredible paintings, sculptures and other artwork. I could have shot at The Grand Bohemian all day long as there is one perfect location after another. Who knew the hallways would be a great backdrop for a bridal shot?

The day was chilly and the wind was rather intense at times, but that didn’t stop Kira, Shane, Madison & Morgan from getting out for some great photos. We kept things moving to keep from getting too cold, but all the goosebumps were worth it as this was the big day for Kira & Shane and they couldn’t have been any happier to finally exchange their vows. We had plenty of time to take photos before the ceremony as they decided to see each other ahead of time. This is always a great idea especially when the sun sets earlier this time of year and who wouldn’t want to take advantage of this stunning location while it was still shining?

Thank you Kira & Shane for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day! It was truly an honor. I wish you all the happiness 🙂 Please enjoy a handful of images and the slideshow posted just below. The online gallery will be ready to view by tomorrow.
