A little over a month ago I was contacted by Nancy who was a bridesmaid in a recent wedding of mine.  She was telling me about a surprise birthday party for a dear friend of hers and she was helping plan the event.  Danielle was turning 30 and her friends and family wanted to do something really special for her…and that they did!  Danielle’s parents live in New York, so it was really great to have Nancy help them pull it all together.  They chose The Lazy Goat which is amazing as it is, but they really made it even more amazing with their details and decor.  Everything looked perfect.

Since this was a surprise, it was really important to keep it a secret and Danielle’s husband had to come up with something to throw her off a bit.  She almost chose to relax at home after a long day. So he had to be quick on his feet…think of something to get her to the place where she would be greeted by a lot of hugs, smiles and “Happy Birthday’s!!”  The staff at The Lazy Goat walked in the room and said ”She’s here!”.  When she walked in, her reaction was priceless!!  It was really so much fun to be there and capture the moments for her to remember for many birthday’s to follow.

 

These amazing cupcakes and cake are from Soby’s.  I was in awe with how gorgeous the details were.

 

 

 

It’s moments like these that I am so happy to be there to capture.  They were watching the slideshow Danielle’s mom put together and it brought quite a few laughs.
