From the first phone call, I like to find out about the couples that I am going to be working with. After all, we will be sharing an important time of their lives together and I love that! I want to know how they met, what they like to do, are they city or country people…maybe it’s a bit of both, wedding details, music they like, etc…etc. The more I know about them, the better I can capture their essence in the images. When Emily & I spoke we chatted about some location options for their engagement session. She mentioned that they love the outdoors. After much thought, I decided that we ought to head out to Paris Mountain State Park for some fun around the lake and trails. A couple days before the shoot I got in touch with Emily and asked if she wanted a little urban background in the mix and she said ‘definitely’. So part 2 was in the awesome downtown Greenville which they are in and around nearly every day.

So please enjoy a handful of images and the slideshow to follow. Thank you Emily & Matt for such a super fun day! I cannot wait for your wedding 🙂

Thank you for stopping by!

It seems like it was just yesterday when I shot Breun & Jeremy’s engagement session, Breun’s bridal and her Toujour shoot, and a few things have changed since then. Breun & Jeremy are going to be welcoming their little one to the world very soon! I was thrilled when Breun asked if I could travel to NC to see them and do her maternity photos. I got a chance to sit and chat with Breun while she finished her makeup and I couldn’t help but notice how beautifully radiant she looks as a mommy to be. I wish I could share all of the images as they are pieces of art, but I am very careful to respect privacy of my clients and not show anything that they wouldn’t want the world to see. I wish I had done maternity shoots when I was pregnant because they really do capture the beauty of these special moments in our lives. Please enjoy a few images from our session…and we will be back with more very soon except this time for the littlest member of their family!

Thanks for stopping by!
