Brian & Kathryn’s wedding day was full of love that showed in so many ways. It was obvious that these two were ready to say “I DO!” and let their adventure begin. It has been such a pleasure getting to know Kathryn & Brian’s family throughout the process and I felt honored to be able to capture their big day. There are so many amazing images to show, so I will get right to it! Please enjoy the handful of images and slideshow posted below. The online gallery will be available later today. Thank you Leslie Kerrigan for all your hard work and shooting Brian & Kathryn’s awesome wedding day 🙂

Many of my clients ask, “Can we bring our dog(s) on the shoot?”. My answer is always “absolutely!”.

One of my favorite stories when my clients brought their dogs on the engagement session is from a couple of years ago. We were shooting up at the Cliffs at Glassy and they brought along their two young yellow labs. It was a little tough to get them to sit still or to ‘work the camera’ for various shots. After trying for awhile I said “Wow, they are not only sitting nice and pretty, but they are totally perky and almost smiling for the camera!”. I must admit I was feeling a bit proud at that moment. That was until my bride & groom started smiling and laughing a bit while looking behind me. It was then that I realized it wasn’t me at all. It was the groom’s mother holding a treat over my head so the dogs would look my way. Dang! I thought I was a temporary dog whisperer. HAHA! We ended up getting such fun shots of the pets they dearly love that the extra time spent was well worth it. I was able to work with the young pups again on my client’s bridal session. While I was nervous about her dress, we had loads of help and we worked fast. The images turned out amazing, so we were both thrilled that they were included. Since then, it seems to be a common occurrence to have pets along on sessions. I have yet to have pets on the wedding day, but it is becoming more popular and it is only a matter of time before I am asking our furry friends to “smile!”.
