CAKE POPS! My mouth waters just looking at them. These little sweet gems have so much versatility and are a great conversation piece. Cake pops are one of the newest phenomenons to hit the wedding favors market. They can be designed to fit any theme and you can even offer a variety of flavors to be certain there is something for everyone. Think of a cross between a lollipop and a piece of cake – a cake pop. The possibilities are endless. You can make an entire cake out of cake pops, have a cake pop bar instead of a candy bar…or mix it up with both, or wrap each one individually with a little “thank you” note attached. The best part is that they are total FUN!
If you are a DIY bride, then there is the perfect little gadget to help you with this project. It is called Babycakes Cake Pop Maker – who knew? Here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing…or maybe just your mouth watering. Enjoy!

Only 50 days to go before Drew & Lynsey’s wedding day and I cannot wait! It has been a lot fun getting to know this fun couple and the engagement session was just another way for us to spend time chatting, laughing and getting some really great photos. When I was asked what they should wear on their e-session, I sent them some suggestions by email. Drew & Lynsey showed up for their shoot and I was uber excited because they had on the perfect outfits!! They coordinated but didn’t match. They wore color, but didn’t overdo it. They were not afraid of pattern – and in fact, Lynsey wore polka dots. The best part was Lynsey’s red shoes!! Loved them 🙂 The engagement session is a time for couples to have a little fun with fashion while still looking like it is their style. It was St. Patricks Day, so downtown Greenville was alive with music and people wearing green everywhere. This made for even more fun as we walked around looking for our next location to stop and shoot.
For those of you that are recently engaged and have considered forgoing an engagement session, reconsider. This is a way for the couple & photographer to get to know each other more, for the bride & groom to get used to being in front of the camera which will help on the wedding day, and a way to get some really cool shots of the two of you having a blast being with each other.
Lynsey, I am really looking forward to your bridal session 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Lisa – You did a wonderful job capturing the true essence of Lynsey and Drew’s relationship. They are beautiful people inside and out and their love for each other is infectious. I feel blessed to call them friends. Looking forward to the wedding images. And I agree, the red shoes were a hit!
