After a recent promo shoot for Demun Jones, we talked about the birth of his second daughter and decided we needed to set up a family shoot too. So a week later I set off on a 3 hour trek to Gray, Georgia and met the entire Jones family. We got amazing shots and you would never know what went on behind the scenes…a lot of consoling and cuddling because Jessica was teething and Lyric would not fall back asleep to get those sweet sleeping baby shots. Patience is key. After walking around, cuddling, rocking, feeding, rubbing backs, talking quietly, and smiling, we got baby Lryic to close her little eyes and managed to get those precious photos.

Often times you hear that a couple will meet in college or just after, but Dustin & Liz actually met in the 3rd grade! They were in classes next to each other and had the same recess. While Dustin & Liz met as kids, it wasn’t meant for them to ‘see’ each other in a different light until much later. The great thing is that they did meet up again and are now planning their wedding 🙂
The engagement session started out at a beautiful park in Greenville and ended in the downtown area. I actually smiled when Liz told me that Dustin does NOT like having his picture taken. I smiled because it is my true passion to make people feel comfortable, have fun and even enjoy the whole process. My hopes are that those feelings can be changed. The day of the shoot I had just flown back to Greenville after shooting a wedding in Cincinnati where it was VERY cold, so I was hoping that the South Carolina sun would bring us some warmth. Well, the day couldn’t have been prettier and we had many laughs along the way.
