The big day arrived and so did the triple digit heat. The First Look was being set up and Brian’s nerves were showing, but he really didn’t seem to be bothered by the heat…I think his anticipation was much bigger. I must say that there is something so special about witnessing a moment like that. Brian said “I am nervous and so excited” as I got him in place. Brian waited for Madiken to walk up and tap him on the shoulder so he could turn around and see his beautiful bride.
I always let them have those first few minutes to just enjoy each other and have that quiet time before the day of celebration begins. But we quickly moved into photos because the 100 degree heat could only be ignored for so long. Soon after, everyone rushed to their cars to get the A/C cranking and head off to the church.
There were so many special moments throughout the day and then came the dancing. Wow!! I felt like I was watching “Dancing With The Stars”! Everyone could really really dance!! Just before the night ended a Soul Train tunnel was put together and then to the sparkler send-off.
Congratulations Madiken & Brian!! I am so happy for you both. And thank you Katie for all your hard work! Katie had a pretty awesome perk that day…she was not only the second photographer, but she was also a guest. Nothing like the fun of wearing both hats.
Take a few minutes and enjoy Madiken & Brian’s beautiful slideshow.
Enjoy!

There is nothing quite like putting together a slideshow for a couple celebrating the beginning of their lives together. An engagement session is one of the first things to capture the beginning of their journey after the proposal and it’s the beginning of my fun as their wedding photographer. I am so thrilled for Megan & Will and even more thrilled that I get to capture their love and awesomeness. I can’t wait until their big day!
Thanks for stopping by!
