A late summer day in Charleston, SC is perfect for a wedding.  The day was rather warm at times, but overall the temperature was perfect and the skies were blue with just the right amount of clouds.  The ceremony and reception were both held at Patriots Point Links right next to the waterfront.  The sun was beginning to set shortly after the ceremony and was a perfect time to take pictures of the newlywed couple.  We walked out to the golf course and were thankful that the players were allowing us to walk out on the greens that they were playing on.  The tent was a magical glow against the night sky and waterfront as you can see in some of the photos in the slideshow and gallery.  Congratulations Bryce & Lynn!!  Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your big day.

The slideshow is posted below the handful of images.  The gallery hosts all the images, whereas the slideshow is a highlight of the day.

At the end of Matt & Ashley’s engagement session, Matt says “Wow, it’s a lot of work to be photogenic for 7 hours, but we had so much fun”. It made me laugh 🙂 What a perfect way to spend Labor day! Matt & Ashley both graduated from Clemson, so the first part of the session started at the football stadium. Doug Kingsmore is Ashley’s grandfather and the baseball stadium was named after him. Taking photos there was a must. The entire e-session could have been done at Clemson as the campus is so beautiful, however the State Fair was next on our list and we had to get there before sunset to get pictures both before and after the sun went down. When people at the fair see two photographers carrying large cameras taking pictures of a beautiful couple it’s assumed that we are the news following them around. We heard “Will these be on the news or in the newspaper?” a good bit. But interacting with people around us is part of the fun experience. I love doing these long engagement sessions because it is such a perfect way for me to get to know my clients before the big day.

Thank you for such a fun day Matt & Ashley! You make an amazing couple.

Slideshow is just below the handful of photos posted.

Many thanks to my awesome assistant photographer. Thank you for stopping by!
