When Heather was planning her big day, she had mentioned that she wanted to wear a black wedding dress. In the previous post, I shared her bridal session and mentioned how she went back and forth about the white or black dress. She wanted everything to be perfect and really wanted Justin to be happy. Justin did mention that he wanted the white dress, but wanted her to be happy so he left the decision to her. SO here is the really cool part…Heather wanted to compromise and give him what he wanted as well. I would say this is a great start to a marriage. After the ceremony and wedding party photos, she whisked off to the bridal suite to change. When she walked up to meet him so they could be announced, his reaction was AWESOME!! He looked shocked and thrilled. Actually, he couldn’t keep his eyes off of her. What a special moment.
On the day of their wedding, Greenville had really severe storms. When the guys arrived at 5pm, it looked like 9:30pm…it was dark! Then the rain and intense lighting came. But that did not stop anything, we simply worked around it. The sky cleared and the sun was shining just after the ceremony so we were able to go out to the field and take great photos of the wedding party and the newly wed couple!! Couldn’t have turned out better.
Thank you Heather & Justin for having me capture your special day. It was an honor. Everything turned out awesome!!! Heather, you were stunning in your dresses and Justin…I still really dig your choice of shoes 🙂 A big thank you to Sophie for all your creative help! Congratulations you two. I wish you a lifetime of happiness.
A quick note…I have realized that I don’t do short slideshows. haha. I really love putting them together to bring the day to life and tell the story. So if you can, grab something to drink and enjoy their show.
Thank you for stopping by!

When Heather and I met during her consultation, she mentioned that she was contemplating wearing a black wedding dress that she saw and couldn’t get off her mind. She went back and forth between a more traditional white dress and the eye-catching black one. We talked about her bridal session and at that time, she was still on the fence about what to do. She decided to go with the white dress and so we began to plan out when and where her session would be. Then one day I received a call…she couldn’t contain her excitement (which was really cute) and told me that she changed her mind and bought the black dress. Since she was going for a whimsical theme on the day of her wedding, she wanted to have her bridal session to be different. We talked it over and opted to go for more of the high fashion look.
I am pretty certain that my jaw dropped when Heather put on her dress!! It was gorgeous! And then she brought out the fabulous shoes. The temperatures that day hovered around 100 degrees and I knew it was going to be tough for her, but she did a great job and looked beautiful. She even had a few people stop and say “WOW! Your dress is gorgeous!”.
