Leah and I have been talking about ideas for their engagement session ever since she booked her wedding. She has so many great ideas for the wedding day details as well as thoughts about the engagement photos. I asked Leah if she is on Pinterest (silly question right?) and if she has been pinning ideas. Needless to say, the chatter was abundant about pinning ideas and us sharing a board so that I can have a really good feel for what she was wanting. Leah knew that she wanted to have a natural and beautiful setting but with a mix of a more urban look. I instantly knew where we would meet up. When Leah and Blake pulled up next to me in the parking lot, I was impressed by all the coordinated outfits hanging in the car. I finally got to put a face to the name and had to give Leah a hug. We had been talking for some time before the shoot. Blake was nothing but smiles and I am sure Leah will agree, his smile will make others smile right along with him…very contagious 🙂 Both of them were nervous but I assured them we would have fun and they would do great! They did and the best part for me was seeing them really enjoying the whole shoot. That is what these area all about…having fun together, us all getting to know each other and getting great pics to boot.

Thank you Leah & Blake for a super awesome fun afternoon!! You two are adorable and I cannot wait for your big day!

What can I say other than…Jen & Matt are SO much fun!! The day we all met up for a consultation it was pretty close to 100 degrees and we sat outside to chat. But the reason for that was so we could meet up at their wedding venue and talk about the flow of the wedding day. I really don’t think either of us thought of it too too much other than to occasionally fan our faces and shirts 🙂 It was awesome to hear that Jen is a cyclist and is fairly new to the area…so maybe this will encourage me to get back out on some group rides and ask her to come along. OR will it be more like me trying to keep up! haha. Matt has recently started his dental practice in Greenville. Jen said something that still makes me laugh. She said when they meet new people, she will often say “Where do you get your teeth cleaned?”. The perfect networker right? She then said, “you ought to see their faces when I ask”. I laughed when I realized that person probably was like “uhm, what’s wrong with my teeth?”. Cute story to share! Jen called me prior to leaving for Ocean City, New Jersey where Matt’s parents have had a family home there for many years. She mentioned wanting to have some engagement pictures and what I thought. Well, fast forward to the day I was boarding the plane here at GSP. We worked it out where I could join them on the beach for some serious fun and gorgeous scenery. It was a bit like planes, trains and automobiles, but it was beyond fun!! We walked everywhere and shot away. We ended the session after it was dark and I headed back to grab a quick dinner and get some rest. The next morning I asked if there was anything else they wanted to capture. We both agreed that they needed pictures of the two of them and a bike. So I put my hair in braids yet again (thank you humidity!!) and drove to meet them. Having a few moments to chat with Matt’s family and share a bit more time with Jen & Matt was super great.

Thank you Jen & Matt for allowing me to capture a bit of you both while at the amazing Ocean City, NJ. I am thrilled for you both and have enjoyed getting to know you!
