Engagement sessions are awesome! Truly. They are a ton of fun, stress-free and it’s a way for all of us to get to know each other before the wedding day. Oh and to capture some really beautiful pictures too!! 🙂 One of the most rewarding things for me as a wedding photographer is to see my bride & groom get used to being in front of the camera and walk away excited while they had fun together. This is a time that should be a lot of fun in the midst of planning a big and very important day.
We started out at Clemson and boy was it warm outside. All three of us kept saying that it felt like summer already. The Clemson campus is so beautiful and has endless locations to take photos. OH and of course we had to go to the spot where Jacob proposed to Kristen. When we made it back to Greenville, the sun was going down and thankfully so was the temperature. The end of day light is so great and we continued until the sun dropped below the horizon. A super fun day and I cannot WAIT for Kristen & Jacob’s wedding 😀

When Lauren sent her wedding photography contract back to me in the mail, she included a beautiful folio of information about The Reserve at Keowee where she was getting married. My first thoughts were “Wow…this is a gorgeous community” and “This is the kind of package I need to send my clients”. But after going through it thoroughly and viewing her notes, drawings and sticky notes, I knew that every little detail of Lauren’s wedding day would be attended to – and it was. I think Lauren heard me say over and over “What a great detail” or “I LOVE this!”. Classic elegance with a fun and fashionable flair is how I would describe everything. The bridesmaids had beautiful matching necklaces that finished off their look perfectly. The groomsmen had matching blue and white gingham bow ties. Lauren had her classy blue shoes with a white bow. Matthew had blue laces for his brown leather shoes. BUT most importantly, what I noticed was how excited Lauren & Matthew were to say their “I Do’s”. Watching Lauren smile, laugh and throw her arms up in the air once her dress was zipped up was proof that this was a moment she has been anticipating for a long time. When I say long time, I truly mean that. Lauren and Matthew have been together for a decade and have grown together over those years. Now was the time to grow together as husband and wife.
Thank you Lauren & Matthew. I had such an incredible time with you both as well as your family and friends. It was an honor to be your wedding photographer and I wish you both so much happiness. Katie Turner…thank you thank you for all your hard work and amazing creativity. You were wonderful and you make what we do even more fun!
So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy their slideshow 🙂 Congratulations to the newlyweds!!
