It was a big family event the day Katie and Mitch had their engagement session downtown Greenville. At the time, I only knew one person. When it was time for the BIG day, I knew several family members really well…especially Katie and her mom. I actually looked forward to hearing from Courtney (Katie’s mom) and having a good long chat. Getting to know my couples and their families is such a treat for me because it makes the wedding day that much more special for me to witness and capture. It seems like ages ago that I met with all the girls to take pictures of them choosing their bridesmaid and flower girl dresses.
We were one week out from the wedding day and I was packing up to head to the mountains for a few days with my youngest son’s school field trip. I was disconnected from technology and enjoyed the fresh air, hikes and hearing the kids laugh and have fun. It was a great way for me to recharge and be ready for the weekend. I left the field trip a half a day early…unpacked and then repacked to head out of town for the rehearsal dinner. The morning of Katie & Mitch’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous. It was slightly cool, blue skies, a few breezes here and there and an occasional puffy cloud. Basically it was perfect. Their wedding day was equally perfect. I am SO happy for you both and am honored to have been a part of your special day. Thank you Katie & Mitch…I wish you both a lifetime of happiness. A huge thank you to Amanda Roeben for your hard work and creativity.
Thank you for stopping by!

Engagement sessions are a time to put together 2 or 3 outfits, determine a location that is special or fits a couple’s style, block off a few hours out of your day and have a blast! When Kelly text me to say that both her and Smokey ‘had a blast’ on their session, it made me smile because after all…this is a great time in their lives and it is supposed to be fun. Since downtown Greer is an area that they frequent and is special to them, we decided that the downtown and surrounding areas would be the location. We made stops at some of their favorite hangouts and even got a few ‘congrats’ and ‘hello’s’ from people that know Kelly & Smokey. At one point I said we need to cue people they know to walk by at every corner and cheer them on because it made for the best expressions and smiles. haha. Oh and it just so happened that Smokey’s business received the ‘Yard of the Month’ award, so we just had to grab a shot or two next to the sign 🙂
Thank you Kelly & Smokey for such a great afternoon. I am really looking forward to your big day!!
Thank you for stopping by!
